Leaning On and Learning From Props
Saturday, December 14 @ 1-2:30pm
This workshop will teach the use of some common props to support and open up space in poses. With the rise in therapeutic types of yoga, more students are using props, such as blocks, straps, bolsters, and chairs in classes. Such props are not only used to restore, but also to attain poses you might not usually do. Props are a fundamental component of Iyengar Yoga. BKS Iyengar was an innovator in their use to help students better learn and support the modification of almost any poses. Rhonda Duffaut and Allison Chaplick are joining forces to provide students with an introduction and/or refresher to the use of some of the most common ones. Registration is open (via the regular class schedule).
